How to Trade with AI: ChatGPT, Claude & Python

This is a beginner’s roadmap for how to trade with AI in 2026 — from your first prompt to a bot running on a demo account. No coding background is required for the no-code route, and Python is there when you want more control. Bookmark it.

How to trade with AI: the 4-layer stack

Trading with AI means combining four simple layers. You don’t need all of them on day one.

1. The AI brain — ChatGPT / Claude

Describe a strategy in plain English; the AI explains the logic and drafts the code (Pine Script, MQL5, Python, or Deriv Bot steps). Always review and test what it generates. Ready-made prompts: 5 AI prompts every trader needs.

2. The charts — TradingView

3. The bot — Deriv Bot, MT5 EA or Python

4. The broker — Deriv / Exness

Step by step: your first AI strategy

  1. Open a free demo account.
  2. Prompt the AI: describe the market, indicators, entry/exit rules, stake, stop loss and take profit.
  3. Copy the generated code (or block setup) and test it on demo / backtest on TradingView.
  4. Measure results over many trades (win rate and drawdown), refine the prompt, repeat.
  5. Go live only with money you can afford to lose — keep the stop loss (see our risk management guide).

“Write a Pine Script v6 strategy for TradingView: buy when RSI < 30 and price is above EMA 20; sell when RSI > 70. Add a fixed stop loss and take profit. Explain each line for a beginner.”
